While it might not change the world entirely, it’s a vital piece of our planet-friendly puzzle. Creating the VORTEX was no easy feat. The plastic is locally sourced, collected in my town, crushed 20 km away, and cut 17 km from there. My mission is to minimize CO2 emissions associated with production.

These heads carry a tad more weight compared to the Tri-Ying or the Original, all meticulously calculated to mimic the feel of a fire dragon staff. Their disc shape ensures not only safety but also exceptional stability and effortless spinning.

All parts are durable and designed to offer you a smooth dragon staff experience.

One Tri-Ying Legacy head weighs 280 g. Flowbonacci dragon staff heads come with a lifetime warranty against breakage.

Two types of hubs are available:

  • Spinal Hubs – the lightest option (70 g each), ideal if you carefully follow the assembly instructions to use them properly and avoid damage.
  • Plug Hubs V2 – tool-free setup in about one minute, with a 2-year warranty from the date of purchase; each Plug Hub weighs 110 g.

Flowbonacci hubs are designed to fit 22 mm (7/8″) outside diameter poles, which is the most common dragon staff size. Please double-check the diameter of your current pole before ordering to make sure it is compatible.

The Tri-Ying Legacy is the result of a year-long collaboration between an engineer (that’s me, Fabio) and a seasoned professional designer. It was conceived as a classic dragon staff head – simple, balanced and timeless.

Every curve, volume and surface has been engineered and designed to maximize the floating effect that makes a dragon staff so special when you spin it, while giving the prop a distinctive visual presence. It was created to feel natural both for beginners exploring their first patterns and for pioneers who will push the art further with techniques that haven’t been invented yet. It is also perfectly suited for rolling on the ground (freewheel practice).
